Review: Colourpop Pretense Collection

Hey guys! I finally had the time to review some products and I’ll be starting with this duo from Colourpop, the Pretense Collection. Just to inform you all, I love Colourpop! Their products are very pigmented, they have a lot of shades to choose from and so affordable. Check out my review about this collection, you might love this duo. Enjoy! πŸ™‚

This collection consists of two different products that are placed in separate white containers (the usual Colourpop pressed packaging).

About the product:

This collection has a highlighter (in Wisp) and a bronzer (in Poolside). Β Wisp is a golden champagne pearl with a subtle duo-chrome finish, and Poolside, a golden bronze with a satin finish. These products are long-wearing, have creme powder formulas and are gluten and cruelty free.

L-R: Wisp, Poolside

I love this duo!!! I’ve read a lot of good reviews about Wisp that I wanted to buy it immediately. My excitement went double when I saw this collection. Wisp plus a bronzer?! Sold! This purchase didn’t disappoint at all. The only downside of these products is, it tends to be patchy if not applied correctly. You might want to apply these products with your fingers first (especially the highlighter) before blending it with a brush.

I love the formulas of both products… the buttery, moose-like texture of Wisp and the smooth, velvety texture of Poolside. Both are super pigmented and the bronzer is super long-wearing. I have a short story about it below, but before that, I’ll rate this collection 5 out of 5! πŸ™‚

Here’s a little story… Right after swatching, I went out to go to work. I immediately wiped out the products using a make-up remover, the highlighter was erased after a few wipes, while the bronzer left a thick mark. Yup, the product was still there! The photo above was taken eight (8) hours after swatching it. Talking about long-wearing huh. This definitely proves it. Good job, Colourpop!

Any testimonials/feedback about these products? Let me know! πŸ™‚
