LeahTravels: El Nido, Palawan

Last August 7 to 9, we went for a trip to El Nido, Palawan. The top 1 most beautiful destination in Asia and one of the top 10 in the world.Β We left Manila at around 8:20am and arrived at around 5:30pm. After 9 long hours (1 and a half by air and 7 and a half by land with gazillion stop-overs), finally, we’ve reached our destination. We stayed at La Casa Teresa Beach Resort, a small hostel with a beautiful beach front view. The travel from Puerto Princessa going to El Nido was so tiring and boring, but after seeing El Nido for the first time, it was all worth it! πŸ™‚

Our tour package only cost 7,795pesos (around $180) which includes round-trip airfare, 3D/2N accommodation with free breakfast for two days, van from Puerto Princessa airport going to El Nido and back, island tour (Tour A -A universal tour package in El Nido), and lunch buffet at the tour. As for the pocket money, you’ll only be needing round 5,500pesos (for food, tricycle rides and shopping). That’ll be a total of 13,300pesos (around $302) all-in and… Tadah! You’re good to go! Pretty affordable huh? The experience?.. PRICELESS! The only down-side of our trip was going to El Nido on a rainy season.Β We weren’t able to do “tourA” due to the rain and strong current, so we did an in-land tour instead. Good thing the island tour was refundable.

Here are some photos from our trip (please read the captions too!)…

View from our hotel. Yep, it was high-tide.

View from SEA SLUGS Restobar where we had our dinner on our first night. Gloomy, yet still so beautiful.

Second day. Still raining.

Second day. In-land hopping. First stop, Nacpan Beach.

Red lips even at the beach on a rainy day! :)))

Yes, I’m only 5’2 weighing 129lbs., and I’m proud of it! πŸ™‚

My must-haves when traveling… Sunblock for my face and body, sunnies, lippies, wifi, action/hd camera with accessories! πŸ˜‰

The best Pizza and Pasta place in El Nido… Altrove! (A must try!)

Touring with these beautiful ladies… Childhood friends and sisters forever!

On our last day… Touring Puerto Princessa.

We also went to a hot spring, falls and another beach area which I all forgot the names. Hahahaha. Sorry about that!Β We’ll definitely come back and do the island tour next year! πŸ™‚
